In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del, which included the work View of Mont Henri, With An Artist Sketching To The Left by Joris Hoefnagel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,600.00 (€ 40,033.54), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joris Hoefnagel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A village festival with elegantly dressed figures in procession, a river and tower beyond in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 481,250.00 (€ 593,514.90).

Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of Mont Henri, With An Artist Sketching To The Left von Joris Hoefnagel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.600,00 (€ 40.033,54) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joris Hoefnagel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A village festival with elegantly dressed figures in procession, a river and tower beyond im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 481.250,00 (€ 593.514,90).
