Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Dame Elisabeth Frink, 1973 by Jorge S. Lewinski for GBP 756.00 (€ 879.85). This price was achieved in the auction The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jorge S. Lewinski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Francis Bacon, circa 1960s in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,235.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dame Elisabeth Frink, 1973 von Jorge S. Lewinski für GBP 756,00 (€ 879,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jorge S. Lewinski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Francis Bacon, circa 1960s im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.235,83).
