Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in London held the auction The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design, which included this untitled work by Jorge Queiroz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,395.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Queiroz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2019 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,995.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jorge Queiroz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.395,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Queiroz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.995,22).
