Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A still life with flowers by Joop Stierhout was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. The price achieved of EUR 840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joop Stierhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Viering van de geboorte van Prinses Irene: Vlaggen op het Damrak, Centraal Station in de achtergrond in October 2003 with an auction result of EUR 12,547.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A still life with flowers von Joop Stierhout wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 840,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joop Stierhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Viering van de geboorte van Prinses Irene: Vlaggen op het Damrak, Centraal Station in de achtergrond im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.547,50.
