Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Slow Down by Jonathan Lyndon Chase. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 21,040.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jonathan Lyndon Chase have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work rose petals on bed in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 131,250.00 (€ 119,112.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Slow Down von Jonathan Lyndon Chase zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 21.040,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonathan Lyndon Chase auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit rose petals on bed im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 131.250,00 (€ 119.112,44).
