Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jon Pestoni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. In the Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art auction, the work Hulk sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,752.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Pestoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loose Turn, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 41,422.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jon Pestoni erzielte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Hulk für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.752,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Pestoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loose Turn beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 41.422,08) versteigert wurde.
