Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract by Jolly Koh was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,952.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jolly Koh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Road to Subang II was auctioned for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,200.38).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.952,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
