Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Tired Hunter by John Willis Good was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,638.00 (€ 1,526.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Willis Good achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Huntsman and Hounds in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 19,100.00 (€ 24,296.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Tired Hunter von John Willis Good wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.638,00 (€ 1.526,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Willis Good erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Huntsman and Hounds im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.100,00 (€ 24.296,03).
