The work British The Huntsman And The Whip (Two Works) by John Willis Good was sold in the The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,674.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Willis Good - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Huntsman and Hounds, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 19,100.00 (€ 24,296.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit British The Huntsman And The Whip (Two Works) von John Willis Good wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.674,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Willis Good mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Huntsman and Hounds beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 19.100,00 (€ 24.296,03) versteigert wurde.
