Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Oak At Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire by John White Abbott was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,713.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by John White Abbott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ugbrooke, Devon in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 55,564.16).

Die Arbeit An Oak At Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire von John White Abbott kam im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.713,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John White Abbott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ugbrooke, Devon im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 55.564,16).
