In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work The entrance to Sotheby's, New Bond Street by John Vicat Cole. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,841.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00.
