Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE SCOTTISH SALE, which included the work 'When the flowing tide comes in', Looe, Cornwall by John Robertson Reid. The price achieved of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 9,451.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by John Robertson Reid have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2003 the work Hiding the Deserter was auctioned for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 17,446.62).
