The work A group of five racehorses by John Skeaping was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,279.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Skeaping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pine marten, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 77,500.00 (€ 87,974.03).

Die Arbeit A group of five racehorses von John Skeaping wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.279,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Skeaping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pine marten beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 77.500,00 (€ 87.974,03) versteigert wurde.
