In October last year Christies in London held the auction Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon, which included the work Cats Playing by John Skeaping. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,697.24), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Skeaping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pine marten in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 77,500.00 (€ 87,974.03).
