Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Meteor, 1984 by John Okulick for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,088.07). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Okulick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ceremonial Box, which sold at auction in November 2003 for USD 2,629.00 (€ 2,191.75).
