In October 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Still Life With Roses by John O'Brien Inman. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John O'Brien Inman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Napping in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 23,475.48).

Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Roses von John O'Brien Inman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.811,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00.
