Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Selling Fish On The Beach At Worthing; And Off To Market by John Nixon. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 360.00 (€ 527.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musicians practising in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,834.53).
