Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer, which included the work ‘Hospitality Kicking Avarice Out Of Doors; Or, New Tenants At A Mansion House' by John Nixon. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,846.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Nixon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musicians practising, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,834.53).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer durch, in der auch die Arbeit ‘Hospitality Kicking Avarice Out Of Doors; Or, New Tenants At A Mansion House' von John Nixon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.846,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
