Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Paintings, Sculptures, which included the work L'Intérieur Du Café Véry Au Palais-Royal by John Nixon. The price achieved of EUR 2,295.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Nixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Musicians practising in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,834.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings, Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Intérieur Du Café Véry Au Palais-Royal von John Nixon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.295,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Nixon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Musicians practising im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.834,53).
