Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A coastal town viewed from the sea (illustrated); and View of the cliffs by John Nixon was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 325.00 (€ 388.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musicians practising in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,834.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A coastal town viewed from the sea (illustrated); and View of the cliffs von John Nixon kam im November 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
