This artwork by John Nieto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. In the Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection auction, the work Two Hatchet Kiowa sold for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,644.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Nieto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traditional Dancer II in April this year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 63,111.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Nieto erzielte im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection wurde die Arbeit Two Hatchet Kiowa für USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.644,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Nieto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traditional Dancer II im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.675,00 (€ 63.111,41).
