This artwork by John Nieto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. In the Modern Native American Art auction, the work "Plains Apache," 1999 sold for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,600.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Nieto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traditional Dancer II in April this year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 63,111.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Nieto erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Native American Art wurde die Arbeit "Plains Apache," 1999 für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.600,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Nieto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traditional Dancer II im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.675,00 (€ 63.111,41).
