Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Nieto could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Native American Survivor changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 881.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nieto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Traditional Dancer II in April this year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 63,111.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Nieto konnte im März 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Native American Survivor für USD 1.250,00 (€ 881,34) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Nieto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Traditional Dancer II im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.675,00 (€ 63.111,41).
