Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Don John by John Napper. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 881.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by John Napper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autobus in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,905.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Don John von John Napper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 881,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Napper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autobus im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.905,79).
