Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Middleton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Old Cottage At Tunbridge Wells, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
