Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by John Meredith was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of CAD 14,400.00 (€ 11,144.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Meredith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rio in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 152,000.00 (€ 110,771.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Meredith kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CAD 14.400,00 (€ 11.144,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Meredith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rio im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 152.000,00 (€ 110.771,43).
