Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Untitled No. 5 by John Meredith. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 15,600.00 (€ 12,190.81). Admittedly, works by John Meredith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rio in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 152,000.00 (€ 110,771.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled No. 5 von John Meredith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 15.600,00 (€ 12.190,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Meredith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rio im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 152.000,00 (€ 110.771,43).
