It achieved a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,068.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Linnell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Return of Ulysses in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 171,650.00 (€ 250,603.59).

Die Arbeit On Reigate Heath, Surrey von John Linnell kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.068,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Linnell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Return of Ulysses im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 171.650,00 (€ 250.603,59).
