In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists, which included the work Ardens Grafton, Warwickshire by John Keeley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 780.00 (€ 1,176.84), 30% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Keeley have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,267.37) in January 2007 for the work Collecting the hay (illustrated); and Bridge over the Cole.
