A top price for John Kane - as previously expected
The work Scots' Day at Kennywood by John Kane was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 187,500.00 (€ 160,668.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Scots' Day at Kennywood is the most expensive artwork by John Kane that we have observed at auctions so far.
