Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady by John Jules Nimmo for GBP 630.00 (€ 724.68). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Jules Nimmo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Comte d'Escars, full face in dark green coat with crimson piping and silver-embroidered crimson collar, silver epaulettes and lacing, white shirt and black stock, the silver buttons engraved with crowned initials 'C', wearing the Royal French Orders in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,840.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
