This artwork by John Joseph Enneking achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2002. In the FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE auction, the work Woodland Pool sold for USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,142.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Joseph Enneking - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coaster's Retreat, which sold at auction in November 2000 for USD 76,375.00 (€ 87,847.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Joseph Enneking erzielte im Februar 2002 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE wurde die Arbeit Woodland Pool für USD 23.500,00 (€ 27.142,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Joseph Enneking mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Coaster's Retreat beobachtet, die im November 2000 für USD 76.375,00 (€ 87.847,94) versteigert wurde.
