Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,729.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Joseph Enneking achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coaster's Retreat in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 87,847.94).

Die Arbeit Summer Lake Shore von John Joseph Enneking kam im März 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.729,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Joseph Enneking erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coaster's Retreat im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 87.847,94).
