Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dark Mood in the Woods by John Joseph Enneking was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Joseph Enneking achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coaster's Retreat in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 87,847.94).

Die Arbeit Dark Mood in the Woods von John Joseph Enneking kam im März 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.037,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Joseph Enneking erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coaster's Retreat im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 87.847,94).
