Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Newhaven, Sussex by John Inigo Richards. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,613.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Inigo Richards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosamund's Pond, St. James's Park, London, with Westminster Abbey beyond in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,379.90).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Newhaven, Sussex von John Inigo Richards zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.613,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Inigo Richards erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosamund's Pond, St. James's Park, London, with Westminster Abbey beyond im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.379,90).
