Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures outside a cottage by John Inigo Richards for GBP 597.50 (€ 889.26). This price was achieved in the auction British Art on Paper including Victorian Watercolours from at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Inigo Richards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosamund's Pond, St. James's Park, London, with Westminster Abbey beyond in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,379.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures outside a cottage von John Inigo Richards für GBP 597,50 (€ 889,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British Art on Paper including Victorian Watercolours from bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Inigo Richards erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosamund's Pond, St. James's Park, London, with Westminster Abbey beyond im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.379,90).
