Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Evening By The June Wood; And By The Wey, Near Godalming by John Horace Hooper was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,537.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Horace Hooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Moment'S Contemplation, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,170.33).
