Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction The Library of Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven Part I, which included the work The natural history of British game birds, 1909 by John Guille Millais. It changed hands for a price of GBP 693.00 (€ 815.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Other works by John Guille Millais have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2017 the work Peregrine falcon and duck was auctioned for GBP 937.50 (€ 1,055.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Library of Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit The natural history of British game birds, 1909 von John Guille Millais zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 693,00 (€ 815,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Andere Arbeiten von John Guille Millais konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2017 die Arbeit Peregrine falcon and duck für GBP 937,50 (€ 1.055,02) versteigert.
