In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction The Library of Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven Part I, which included the work Rhododendrons and the various hybrids. Second series, 1924 by John Guille Millais. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 504.00 (€ 592.91), 26% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Guille Millais have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,055.02) in December 2017 for the work Peregrine falcon and duck.
