Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Convives importuns by Johannes Frederik Hulk was sold in the Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 17,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Frederik Hulk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amsterdam, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,836.74).
