In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work British a Peaceful Farmstead changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,630.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frederick Herring Junior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Steeplechase: The Wall in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 99,500.00 (€ 117,417.98).
