Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans Titre, 1961 by John Franklin Koenig was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 319.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Franklin Koenig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ucello Bernardino - 1957 in April 2015 with an auction result of EUR 6,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1961 von John Franklin Koenig wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 319,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Franklin Koenig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ucello Bernardino - 1957 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.240,00.
