Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Off to the Shoot by John Francis Sartorius was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in September last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,980.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Francis Sartorius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pheasant Shooting; and Partridge Shooting, which sold at auction in October 2005 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 16,006.67).
