Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included this untitled work by John Ferren. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,330.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Ferren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 109,000.00 (€ 75,338.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Ferren zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.330,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Ferren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 109.000,00 (€ 75.338,68).
