Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Paul F. Walter, which included the work Fleur du Mal by John Ferren. The price achieved of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,163.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 109,000.00 (€ 75,338.68).
