The work "Hells Angels of California" by John-Erik Franzén was sold in the Contemporary auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 5,700.00 (€ 657.62), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John-Erik Franzén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Sanningen om Texas Rose II" ( The Truth about Texas Rose II) in November 2012 with an auction result of SEK 720,000.00 (€ 83,068.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Hells Angels of California" von John-Erik Franzén wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 5.700,00 (€ 657,62) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John-Erik Franzén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Sanningen om Texas Rose II" ( The Truth about Texas Rose II) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 720.000,00 (€ 83.068,41).
