Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of Florence from San Miniato by John Doyle was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in October 2010. The price achieved of GBP 562.50 (€ 648.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by John Doyle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Taking an Airing in Hyde Park in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,611.69).
