This artwork by John Dearman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2003. In the British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures auction, the work A shepherd with his flock in an extensive landscape sold for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,382.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by John Dearman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Albury, Surrey in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,175.12).

In der Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures wurde die Arbeit A shepherd with his flock in an extensive landscape für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.382,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Dearman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of Albury, Surrey im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.175,12).
