In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan by John Cunningham. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,513.62), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Cunningham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Table Top, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,177.13).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan von John Cunningham zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.513,62) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Cunningham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Table Top beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.177,13) versteigert wurde.
