This artwork by John Cunningham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan sold for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 22,046.93) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Cunningham; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Table Top sold at auction in November 2001 with the realized price of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,177.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Cunningham erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan für GBP 19.200,00 (€ 22.046,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Cunningham; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Table Top im November 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.177,13).
